The Lady in the House tempts us with promises of clarity. In all of our uncertainty she wants to assure us, but she too is broken and has her own confusions. She too cannot "settle down". She is one of many in a long family line, carrying the burden of this house on her shoulders. She is a guide, maybe not to the location that you think you want, but, perhaps, to a new view or a recognition of where you actually are.
